Rushed Hour

Hello friends and family, I hope all of you are doing well and ready to face a brand new week.  As the weather gets better life seems to thaw out a little and that busy pace that most of us are used to starts to make its appearance again.  Year after year I tell myself that I need to focus more on what is in front of me rather than constantly spinning my wheels trying to keep up with everything.  Sure, other details need to be respected but it can be easy to waste time and energy trying to handle more than what I can or should be focusing on.  Most importantly though, I need to remind myself that rushing ahead and not looking to God for guidance usually doesn't work too well for me.

I think I have kept myself in this mad-dash because I’m trying to find that perfect balance with all things going on in my life but I’m starting to learn that rushing around like a crazy guy trying to get all things done is the exact opposite of what I’m trying to accomplish.  In Isaiah 26: 1-4 we can see some pretty cool things. In verse 3 we see that the Lord gives this gift to “those whose minds are steadfast,” because they trust in Him. And next in verse 4 we see a very important detail that He is worthy of being trusted today, tomorrow, and forever, for “the Lord, the Lord himself, is the Rock eternal.” I’m starting to see that trusting God with our minds focused on Him will help our lives not feel so rushed.

Take the time out of your busy life to focus on Jesus and if you feel that you are being rushed or you are rushing through life faster than you want then you may find a nice spot to settle in if you trust in Jesus to help you along the way.

Love yall,

J
